After 15-20 minutes i called again as the water was running and no one had come. I called downstairs and notified the staff. i took a cold shower and when i went to turn it off it would not turn off. In the morning i went to take a shower and i could not get the water to mix hot. The shower functioned and shutoff so i figured i would let the staff know on checkout the next morning. After working out i took a shower in the evening and noticed the shower handle was loose and would come apart. I checked in on May 7th for one night on a business trip. Plus, there is FREE parking, which in Miami is a big deal. It was an unusual experience, but not awful. We would consider staying there again though. There was something wrong with one of the machines in the gym and the maintenance guy did not succeed in fixing that either. Our a/c did not cool properly and they came twice to fix it and never succeeded. Their biggest weakness is their maintenance staff. It is unusual be economical and delicious. There are 5 kinds of "pots" to choose from and they make them fresh. They have these little "pots" which are eggs/potatoes/cheese in cup or French Toast and berries in cup. The place was clean and we ended up enjoying our stay. If you know this going in, then it is fine. It is inexpensive furniture and there is not wall art, rugs, clocks or extras of any kind. The furniture is mid-century modern and scaled down. This is a budget property, which we did not know when we booked it. The machine on 2nd floor had bottled water, but the cash function was not working so I couldn’t get any water as it declined my cards as well The machine on the ground floor didn’t have bottled water 3. Wouldn’t accept either of my cards (Visa AND Mastercard) 2. We used towels on our second night on top of the blanket to try and get more warmth. And the blanket was so thin, I couldn’t sleep on our first night because I was so cold. Wall sockets to charge phones, etc - falling out of the wall 6. Didn’t bother calling, because we were checking out anyway. Bathroom - on the morning of our check out, the toilet would not flush the water down - like it was blocked. They offer some restaurant options on their information leaflet. Telephone in the room - they don’t do room service. We had to switch the tv on at the actual tv and change channels and volume like that as well. We decided not to have breakfast on our second morning. The check-in clerk proceeded to then say “oh, yeah.” As if he had not seen us sitting in the lobby for nearly an hour. I went to the desk just before 3pm and asked if there was any way that our room was ready. They were immediately given their key-card. At around 2pm, an old couple arrived and asked if they could check in. My daughter wanted to take a nap and we then went to the lobby so she can lie on the couch (right in front of the check-in desk). Where to start? At check in, we were a bit early and was told our room would not be available until check-in time at 3pm.
